Who We Are
Misty Morning Ranch is a small family run farm in North Carolina. Driven by our passion for sustainable agriculture we started raising ostriches in 2016. After leaving the city life of Los Angeles behind, husband and wife team, Gaby and Ryan, found a beautiful 60-acre ranch in Robbins, NC. With a passion and drive for sustainability, they began researching alternatives for farming.
After visiting many different operations and learning as much as two city people can about farming, they settled with raising ostriches. Thanks to North Carolina goodness grows, they were able to find Hilltop Ostrich Farm for mentoring and guidance. With the mentoring and support from Hilltop Ostrich Farm, Misty Morning Ranch began raising ostriches in 2016. Today, they continue to partner and work together.
In 2017 Robert, Ryan’s brother, and Chisel and Richard, Gaby’s sister and her husband joined the Ranch family and help run all the Ranch operations.
Why Ostrich?

Yes, that’s right - ostrich is a red meat! Despite being a bird, ostrich meat looks, feels, and taste like beef with the benefit of being much healthier AND better for the environment.
The benefits of ostrich go far beyond health. Ostriches require 70% less water, 98% less land, and emit only a fraction of the green house gases. Conserving resources while saving the environment is what makes ostrich meat the sustainable alternative to beef.
